Account deletion

How you get here: Delete Account in the danger zone of Settings. Afterwards the app opens directly here on every launch. Requires an account? Yes.

What happens when you delete

Deletion is scheduled, not immediate — you get a grace period to change your mind.

Account deletion scheduled

Your account is scheduled to be permanently deleted on {date}.

You can cancel anytime before then to keep your account exactly as it is. Once the grace period ends, this cannot be undone.

The app locks down

While a deletion is pending, the root navigator shows only this screen. That isn't punishment — every other authenticated endpoint returns 403 during the grace period, so nothing else in the app would work anyway. Locking to one screen is more honest than showing a shell that errors everywhere.

Cancel deletion

Success: "Account deletion cancelled — welcome back!" and the app unlocks with everything intact. Failure: "Could not cancel deletion. Please try again."

Delete now instead

Delete immediately? This skips the remaining grace period and permanently deletes your account right now. This cannot be undone.

Confirmed by typing a phrase — Type {word} to confirm — then Delete my account now. Failure: "Could not delete your account. Please try again."

The type-to-confirm step exists because this is the one action in the app with no undo.

What about connected accounts?

If you signed in with Apple, Plaum captured Apple's authorization code at sign-in specifically so your Apple token can be revoked on deletion — required by App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v).

Where you go next

Cancelling returns you to the app. Completing deletion ends the session.
