POS integration
How you get here: from My Kitchen or Settings on a restaurant account. Requires an account? A restaurant account.
What this is
Connect your POS here. Start with one connection. Then choose what should sync.
This helps your menu and orders stay in sync.
Wiring Plaum to the till you already use, so your menu doesn't have to be maintained twice and Plaum orders land where your staff already look.
Supported today: Square and Toast.
- Import your menu and receive orders from Square POS
- Connect your Toast POS to sync menu and orders
Connecting
Connect, and the screen confirms: Connected — "Great. Your POS is connected." Failures are named: Connection failed / "Could not connect to Square."
Disconnect Square unlinks it; failure: "Could not disconnect."
What syncs
Three switches, arranged so the master comes first:
| Switch | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sync enabled | Master switch for all POS syncing |
| Menu sync | Import menu items, categories and prices |
| Order sync | Receive orders placed on Plaum in your POS |
Sync Menu Now forces an immediate pull — "Menu synced successfully".
Splitting menu and order sync matters: plenty of restaurants want their menu pulled from the POS but their Plaum orders handled on the order board rather than printed at the till.
Sync health
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Menu items | How many came across. |
| Menu sync | Last successful menu pull. |
| Order received | Last order pushed to the POS. |
| Not ready | Not yet configured or not yet run. |
Markup
Prices can carry a markup over POS prices. Failure: "Could not update markup." Other setting failures: "Could not update settings." Before the restaurant loads: "Restaurant not loaded yet."
